10 years of experience as a Structural Designer in the heavy industrial industry; experience designing and developing drawings for complex equipment foundations and steel framing; experience performing interference checks and coordinating drawings with other disciplines; knowledge of applicable Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC); proficient with AutoCAD, Excel, Building Information, and Revit.

Manage and coordinate daily functions of a one-, two-, or three-person survey crew. Execute Boundary and Topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking and layout. Operate surveying technology and equipment including GPS, Total Stations, data collection devices, and 3D Scanners.

Requires 5-10 years of commercial and industrial project experience as a Professional Engineer. BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required. PE License required. Heavy industrial experience with piping, P&ID’s, industrial processes, project management and construction engineering required. Experience using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering. M.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, preferred. 7 years working in a steel mill or other heavy industry facility. 5 years in consulting engineering, preferred. Industry contacts in process engineering is required. P.E. licensed in the State of Alabama.
